TERRALIFT
Terralift is the most effective way to repair your failed septic drain field without tearing up your yard, and at a fraction of the cost. Lentz Septic Tank Service, Inc. has been using this brilliant, eco-friendly technology since 1996.
Terralift is a state approved technological breakthrough in soil resotroation. It solves a number of soil problems including compaction, saturation and improper drainage, without distrurbing the grounds surface.
Do these problems sound familiar?
- Septic tank level consistently high and water comes back from the septic field lines when pumped down
- Wet spots or mushy area in septic field that never seem to dry up
- Failed septic inspection for house sale or refinancing
- You cannot do laundry at home anymore because the system cannot handle the water output.
The Terralift will revitalize your septic field in a day or less. Lentz Septic Tank Service uses a 6 ft. narrow probe to penetrate the soil around the septic trenches. Once in the ground, it does several things at once: it sends a blast of compressed aire into the soil creating new cracks and fissures for liquids to pass throught. While the ground is still newly fractured, it sends very tiny polystyrene beads into the new new fractures to keep them permanently open once the ground settles. These beads are an essential key to the longevity of this process. Because air tends to follow the path of least resistance, both the air and the pellets will move horizontally and vertically upward through the soil. The pellets keep air and water passages open to ensure proper leaching and transpiration on a long term basis.

Septic Tank Risers/Extensions
Septic tanks are typically buried one foot below the ground and require hand digging to make them accessible. When your tank is buried more than 12" below ground level, we strongly recommend having a manhole extension or riser installed. Manhole extensions will make servicing your septic tank much easier by eliminating having to dig up your lawn when your tank is serviced, saving you time and money. They also make troubleshooting your system much easier if problems arise.

Sanitary Tees Outlets/Effluent Filters
A septic tank is equipped with a sanitary tee. The outlet sanitary tee prevents the floatable scum from moving out into the soil absorption field. (figure 1) In time, the tee can deteriorate and drop off into the tank. The condition of the sanitary tee should be checked when the tank is being pumped. Deteriorated tees will need to be replaced. (Figure 2) When the new tee is installed, it is recommended that an effluent filter (figure 3) also be installed to prevent costly damage to the drainfield. Every septic system should take the precaution to avoid sending particles out into the leach field. Particles join over the years to form a sludge layer in the bottom of your leach field, called "bio-mat." Bio-mat clogs the soil in your leach field and drainage and it fails to function: drainage entirely stops. The filter works by prohibiting the passage of materials that may damage the long-term use of your on-site wastewater disposal system.
